Over thousand of years, dogs recognized as human’s most faithful friends as it participated in hunting, guarded, protected, carried and fetched. In addition, dogs can be trained thus they able to guide the blind, alert the deaf to noises and assisting crippled. Sometimes, dogs locate people buried in avalanches, earthquakes or bombings and assist police in contraband such as drugs, explosives and illegally transported agricultural products.

Actually, nobody really knows which animals were the ancestors of this first dog in the world. Some scientists believe that the earliest wild dog originated in North American and most probably it is a mixture of a wolf father and jackal mother. Now, human might have tried to tame many other small animals as their pet but why they just choose primitive dog to be their first animal friends?

How Dogs Become Human’s Best Friend:
During difficult day, food and shelter would be the biggest problems of life for both human and wild dogs. The only way could keep them alive was to hunt for other animals and lived in a cave. When winter came, it was tougher for wild dogs to hunt for food and get warm. Thus, wild dogs tried to crept close to human’s campfire and chew those bones which thrown by human.

Soon and later, human realized that wild dog able to catch their food more easily than human could as wild dog had a much sharper sense of smell. From that, human may have gotten the idea of training and bearing wild dog’s puppies in assisting them for daily task.

For me, I prefer to have a Golden Retriever as my faithful friend after saw a movie. In that movie, I saw how golden retriever to be trained as a guided dog and helping those blind people in performing their daily task and accompanying them. Golden retriever considered one of the most beautiful retrievers due to its outstanding golden colors. It is getting popular as it is easy to handle, very tolerant, a low-maintenance dog. Usually, golden retriever compatible with all people and other dogs but with this friendly nature make them turn out to be poor watchdogs. Golden retrievers are very active and having a high level of sociability towards people and equipped with the willingness to learn. Because of this, commonly they are used as guide dogs, search and rescue dogs.
